A big “thank you” to everyone who attended the fifth-annual Kaua’i Classics concerts on March 29 and 30! With your generous support, we raised more than $32,000 for Kaua’i United Way.
Since Personal Financial began producing and sponsoring these events in 2010, the Kaua’i Classics series has raised $113,000 for 30 local agencies with 80 unduplicated social service programs on the island, including Kaua’i Hospice, the YWCA of Kaua’i, Malama Pono Health Services and the Boys and Girls Clubs.
Kaua’i Classics is really a win-win event for everyone
involved. Attendees get to enjoy an intimate performance by
world-class musicians (this year’s performers were from the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center), and local music students get to experience the concert for
free—a life-changing experience for many. At the same time, Kaua’i social service agencies get the funding they need to continue to do important and necessary work in the community, and Kaua’i United Way (KUW) expands its donor base and hosts a great event at virtually no cost—KUW pays only for the cost of food for ticket-buying attendees, while Personal Financial organizes everything else and covers the associated expenses.

A Participating Agency
"I've enjoyed camping and other outdoor activities, meeting other Scouts, and helping the community in our 'Do A Good Turn' projects. The most rewarding experience for me was achieving the rank of Eagle Scout. I can truly say that Scouting has helped me become a better person."
