Why we offer this e-book for free

Our e-cookbook was created by the employees of Kauai Island Utility Cooperative to support needy families in Hawaii. Kauai United Way benefited from sales and wishes to share this beautiful book with others who love Kauai as much as we do.

Kauai is considered by many to be the most beautiful place on Earth: offering an abundance of spectacular sights and experience, coupled with aloha beyond compare. To keep Kauai special, we must be diligent in caring for her people as well as her natural resources.

It’s simple: one donation to Kauai United Way will assist 26 social services organizations managing 80 outreach programs that serve more than 35,000 people in need on Kauai every year. KUW agencies offer food, housing, education, medical service, emotional support and more to residents in need – from keiki (children) to kupuna (elders).

Kauai United Way is a non-profit, volunteer-driven organization, dedicated to serving the social needs of Kauai since 1943. We monitor our agencies throughout the year and re-evaluate social needs annually. What’s more, all money raised by Kauai United Way stays on Kauai.
