First Hawaiian Bank has provided a boost to the Kaua’i United Way Annual Campaign with both a corporate gift and payroll-deducted donations from many of their management and staff employees. “First Hawaiian has been a huge supporter of the Kaua’i community for many years,” said executive director Scott Giarman. “This gift puts them among our top corporate donors once again this year.”
Employee donations were up 17% from last year and 29% from the year before. “Through their generous donations, First Hawaiian Bank employees continue to help make a difference for those in need on Kauai and we are all truly grateful!” said Lynnette Medrano-Stine, campaign development director / community liaison.
Kaua’i United Way is our island’s umbrella charitable organization, seeking to serve the whole Kaua’i community by supporting a broad array of social service programs. Money raised stays on Kaua’i, stimulating the economy, saving lives and helping thousands of Kaua’i people live happier, healthier, more productive lives through the vital social service work of their many Partner Agencies, each carefully vetted annually by dedicated community volunteers. Payroll deduction enables anyone to make a powerful difference to benefit those in need on our island and elevate us all. Let’s all live united … the Kaua’i United Way!
